Proven Calm Baby Sleep Approach

Hi, I’m Helen, a mum and grandmother with a lifelong passion for nurturing babies. I was born and raised in Edinburgh, growing up with two older siblings. I always found myself drawn to spending time with babies, knowing even then that a career centered around them was my true calling.

My journey into motherhood began at the age of 21, and it was not without its challenges. My daughter arrived prematurely, which brought about a mixture of joy, stress, and worry. This experience opened my eyes to the importance of support and guidance for new parents. In an era without the internet and none of my friends having babies. Instead, I relied on a baby book for advice and my own intuition. It was this reliance that ignited my passion for supporting new parents, and I am dedicated to this cause.

Located in the picturesque city of Edinburgh, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends when I’m not supporting parents and their babies. Exploring new destinations, going on theatre trips, and spending time on the beach are some of my favourite pastimes.

My utmost passion lies in equipping parents-to-be with the confidence and clarity they need even before their baby arrives. Whether it’s through online support or in-person support, I am here to provide unwavering guidance from the moment your precious baby enters the world.

My approach

My calm and gentle approach is at the core of my business. I have built five pillars that serve as the foundation for my approach to supporting new parents:

CLARITY: I believe in providing clear and concise information to new parents, guiding them through the maze of baby care and baby sleep, helping them understand the needs of their baby.

CONFIDENCE: I believe that it is as important to prepare for the moment you hold your baby in your arms as it is for the birth. Therefore, I empower new parents with the knowledge and skills they need to approach and enjoy their journey into parenthood. By instilling trust in their abilities and giving them confidence.

CONSISTENCY: Babies respond positively to consistency and a gentle sleep-shaping rhythm is key when it comes to ensuring that your baby has a good night’s sleep.  I work closely with parents to discuss their wishes and share my proven calm baby sleep approach, which is a gentle start to their baby sleeping well.

CARING: When I am caring for your baby my approach is always calm and gentle. I believe in a no-tears approach, ensuring that your baby feels safe, secure, and comforted at all times.

CONNECTION: Building a strong bond between parent and baby is essential for both of you. I guide parents in nurturing that special connection, ensuring that their baby feels loved and supported at all times. Prioritising the parent-child bond, we create a nurturing sleep environment by using my hands-on techniques that also promotes healthy sleep and overall well-being.
